Twenty students from Florida A&M University visited the MiLB offices on April 13 to learn about the business of baseball. Several members of the MiLB staff made presentations to the group on topics including rules and regulations, licensing, marketing, MiLB.com and communications during their half day stay.
The students and FAMU staff then went to see the Clearwater Threshers to listen to presentations from some of the Florida State League club's staff, as well as tour Bright House Field.
The FAMU contingent, along with some MiLB staff, then enjoyed a game between the Threshers and the Lakeland Flying Tigers with an all-you-can-eat food and soft drink package.
After the game, the students and FAMU staff headed to Georgia for a job fair the following day, hosted by the Atlanta Braves.
